PC Problem Solving Store's agreement about Free Diagnostic:

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of our free diagnostic service. We're dedicated to finding the root cause of your computer's issues quickly and efficiently.

What's included:

  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting over the phone or in-store.

  • Identification of potential hardware issues and faulty parts.

What's not included:

  • Data recovery (separate service available)

  • Repairs requiring in-depth software troubleshooting

  • Physical damage or liquid spills

Please note: Opening your device is necessary for accurate diagnosis and some repairs. We will seek your consent before proceeding.

2. Covered Services and Repairs:

This free diagnostic service covers various hardware and software issues, including:

  • Hardware:

    • Slow performance

    • Overheating

    • Power issues

    • Connectivity problems (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)

    • Storage issues (hard drive, SSD)

    • Fan malfunction

  • Software:

    • Operating system issues (booting, crashes)

    • Application errors

    • Driver problems

    • Virus and malware infections

3. Exclusions and Limitations:

This service does not cover the following:

  • Data recovery (see our separate data recovery service for details)

  • Software issues requiring extensive troubleshooting (e.g., corrupted system files)

  • Physical damage (broken screens, spilled liquids)

  • Accidental damage

  • Issues caused by unauthorized modifications

  • Software issues beyond basic troubleshooting

Opening your device: We require your consent to open your computer for proper diagnosis and potential repairs. This allows us to assess internal components and perform necessary hardware work.

4. Costs and Fees:

  • Free Diagnostic: Our basic diagnostic service is completely free, whether done over the phone or in-store.

  • Hardware Fixes (without part replacement): If we successfully resolve your hardware issue without replacing any parts, a flat fee of $145 applies. This covers the hands-on work and expertise needed to fix the problem.

  • Part Identification and Engineering Expertise: If you need us to identify the exact faulty part and provide in-depth engineering analysis, we charge an hourly rate of $75. This service can take up to 3 hours depending on the complexity of the issue.

    Estimated Labor Time:
    Gaming PC Desktop: Diagnosis timeframe is typically 2-4 hours, depending on the complexity of the configuration.
    Laptop and Gaming Laptop: Diagnosis timeframe is typically 2-3 hours, depending on the disassembly and assembly complexity. Please note: These estimated hours are for the diagnostic service only. If you decline to proceed with repairs after we identify the faulty parts, you will be charged a professional diagnostic fee of $75 per hour based on the estimated timeframe for your device type. Repair Approval and Fee Structure: If you approve our recommendation to order and install replacement parts, the diagnostic hours will be combined with the installation and repair labor fees.
    For example,
    If we diagnose a faulty motherboard in your gaming PC desktop and it takes 4 hours, the diagnostic fee ($300) will be combined with the motherboard replacement and rebuilding service ($399). In this case, you would receive a 50% discount on the motherboard rebuilding service, resulting in a total repair cost of $499, including both diagnosis and repair.

  • Data Recovery: We offer separate data recovery services at the following rates:

    • 100GB - 500GB: $145

    • 500GB - 1TB: $199

    • 1TB - 2TB: $299

    • 2TB - 4TB: $399

  • Part Replacement: We will inform you about the costs of replacement parts and labor fees before proceeding with any repairs. You have the option to purchase the parts yourself or through us.

5. Data Privacy and Security:

We take your data privacy seriously. Please note that:

  • Resetting your operating system or performing hardware repairs may result in data loss.

  • We recommend backing up your data before bringing your computer for service.

  • Our data recovery service can help retrieve lost data at an additional cost.

6. Repair Procedures and Turnaround Times:

The repair process varies depending on the issue. Here are some general estimates:

  • Basic hardware fixes: 1-2 days

  • Part identification and ordering: 1-3 days

  • Part replacement: 1-3 days (additional time for ordering parts)

  • Data recovery: Varies depending on complexity and data size

We will do our best to keep you informed throughout the repair process and provide estimated turnaround times.

7. Dispute Resolution and Warranty Terms:

We are committed to providing excellent service and resolving any concerns you may have. In case of any disputes, we encourage you to contact us directly to find a solution.

We offer a limited warranty on repairs performed by our technicians. You can find the details of our warranty policy on our website or upon request.
